Quezon Avenue flood control and road project now open - DPWH

The 522 lineal meters additional service road over the newly constructed reinforced concrete box culvert from Timog Avenue to Scout Borromeo Street in Quezon City was formally opened yesterday, March 31, 2017, by the Department of Public Works and Highways.

The P87.69 million project has been completed after the Department implemented the 24/7 construction scheme in line with the efforts to fast-track infrastructure development.

“With the completion of Timog Avenue to Scout Borromeo Street segment, DPWH will continue to step-up and take advantage of the good weather in completing similar activities at the 583 lineal meters on-going segment from after Scout Borromeo Street to near Sgt. Esguerra Street”, said DPWH Secretary Mark Villar.

The opening of two (2) additional vehicular lanes will significantly improve the movement of vehicles along Quezon Avenue.
