PHILCONSTRUCT Mindanao 2016 embarks in Davao

Davao City- PhilConstruct Mindanao 2016 , the biggest construction exhibition show in the region begins Friday and runs until September 11 at the SMX Convention Centre, Lanang , Davao City amid the Roxas night market explosion last September 2. 

Event chairman, Engr. Ramon Allado said this year's expo is a very interesting one primarily because of the support given by over 100 exhibitors and over 1000 visitors who ensured that the event will pursue. 

"I'm surprised because it's just been a week after that incident and we're expecting cancellation. But still, the trade show is successful as ever," Allado said.

In a message read by Councilor April Dayap, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte also thanked the organizers and participants of the expo for pushing the event. 

"May this expo be an opportunity to not only to learn from one another, create networks and expand markets but also to raise the standards of construction practice and find feasible long- term solution to the design and construction challenges in the region and to the rest of the country, " the mayor said. 

Davao Constructors Association Center, Inc. (DCACI) President Ludwig Van Ledesma further described the expo as a  Mindanao gateway for stakeholders where a lot of business potentials and opportunities are offered. 

"This three-day event highlights the best and most advanced products and technologies from well-known brands in the building and construction industry as well as the beauty of the region through our showcase of the cultural and heritage products only Davao has," Ledesma said.

(DCACI), Philippine Constructors Association, Inc. (PCA), and Philippine Society of Ventilating, Air-Conditioning & Refrigerating Engineers, Inc. (PSVARE).
