Industry: Two dead, 11 injured in BGC construction mishap

Two construction workers died and 11 were hurt when a part of a building being constructed at the Bonifacio Global City collapsed at around 8:10 in the morning of February 4, 2015.

The fatalities were identified as Renato Dela Cruz and Ruben Raqraquiam.

According to Taguig Fire Marshal Juanity Maslang, Dela Cruz was working on the upper ground floor when the foam board supporting the floor collapsed, injuring the workers below. He died on arrival at the St. Lukes Global Hospital while the body of Racraquiam was retrieved at 1:35 P.M., pinned down by concrete slabs.

The injured workers were identified as Sandy Vargas, Jaymar Carberta, Regan Labmutin, Larry Lagguray, Wendil Behim, Aldrim Gahuman, Roberto Lorca, Darwin Avara, Bernard Tugade, Jonathan Agoso and Delinger Abara. They suffered abrasions and fractures on their hands.
