PPP: Megawide starts construction of classrooms in Ifugao under PSIP

Megawide Construction Corporation has started the construction of 77 new classrooms in the province of Ifugao under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) for School Infrastructure Project (PSIP) of the Department of Education.

Based on records taken from the Physical Facilities and Schools Engineering Division (PFSED), 73 classrooms for the elementary school level are distributed to the 11 towns of Ifugao.

The municipality of Aguinaldo gets the most number of classrooms with 17, followed by Tinoc with 14, Mayoyao with 11, Alfonso, Lista and Kiangan with 7 each, Lamut with 5, Asipulo, Lagawe and Hingyon with 4 each, and Banaue and HIngyon with 2 each.

The four other secondary level classrooms are located at the Kiangan National High School.

Made to address the problem of classroom shortage in the region, the project is expected to be completed before the opening of the 2016-2017 school year.
